Organizational structure

16. (1) There shall be an Organizing Committee for the Secretariat of the Election Commission consisting of the following members to review the organizational structure of the Election Commission (To & E) from time to time and make recommendations for change.

        (A) the Chief Election Commissioner, who shall also be its Chairman;

        (B) all Election Commissioners;

        (C) an officer of the Finance Department not below the rank of Additional Secretary;

        (D) an officer not below the rank of Additional Secretary 1 [Ministry of Public Administration];

        (E) Secretary, Secretariat of the Election Commission, who shall also be its member secretary.

     (2) The organizational structure of the Election Commission shall be finalized by the Government after considering the recommendations of the aforesaid Organizational Committee.
